An international conference for horticulture and processing took place in Kyiv

On June 20, 2018, the International Hotel-Practical Conference "Technologies and Innovations: From Land to Finished Product" took place in the capital's Bratislava Hotel with the participation of about 200 representatives of horticultural, grape, wine and other processing industries from all over Ukraine. The participants of the conference shared the peculiarities of modern fruit growing and the secrets of production of unique Ukrainian drinks and other products from fruits and berries.

The key discussion of the forum was devoted to fruit and honey and honey wines, ciders, juices and other beverages, as well as the promotion of Ukrainian wine in the world. During the conference, problematic issues were raised and ways to solve them were sought. The discussion was attended by the Head of the Horticulture and Viticulture Department of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Viktor Kostenko, Assistant to the Verkhovna Rada Deputy Robert Horvat (co-author of the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Vadym Malyshuk, a leading specialist in fruit and berry winemaking, Doctor of Technical Sciences - Oleksandr Lytovchenko, Chairman of the Guild of Honey Producers of Ukraine - Vasyl Barabash, Member of the Board of the Association of Transcarpathian Winemakers - Victor Feer,

Oleksandr Samoilenko, Mais LLC, moderated the discussion, and Volodymyr Pechko, Chairman of the Ukrsadvinprom Public Union, moderated the discussion.

As a result of discussions, Volodymyr Pechko, Chairman of Ukrsadvinprom, suggested that the conference participants sign a collective appeal to the Prime Minister of Ukraine regarding the Ministry of Agrarian Policy's failure to comply with the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine" and a collective appeal to the President of Ukraine regarding the signing of the Presidential Decree, which will introduce a professional holiday in Ukraine - the Day of the vine grower, winemaker and gardener.

III All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference "Technologies and innovations: from the ground to the finished product" became a unique platform for sharing experiences. Participants had the opportunity to learn about advanced methods of processing fresh products and get the tools to reach a new level of production.

The two-day conference included an exhibition, presentations, tasting, a lecture part and a large-scale business tour of the enterprises of Kyiv region.
